The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) and CultureofOneWorld.org are hosting an “International Journalism Seminar on LGBT Issues and Human-Rights Coverage” as part of “Boston: Uncommon,” the NLGJA National Convention & 9th LGBT Media Summit on Thursday, August 22, 2023 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers (50 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116). More than 350 journalists and communications professionals from across the US are expected to come to Boston. The four-day assembly, taking place from August 22 to 25, begins with the LGBT Media Summit. Since 2004, the LGBT Media Summit offers special emphasis on the challenges faced by LGBT Media outlets. This one day conference serves as the opening forum for the National Convention. Jill Abramson, New York Times executive editor, will be the keynote speaker.
