A Master of Public Administration is similar to an MBA degree, but specifically tailored to develop leaders in the public sector. Tammie Cagle, editor at Top Management Degrees says, “Like an MBA, an MPA trains students to be effective and knowledgeable leaders with advanced communication skills, but it also teaches the efficient management of policy development with an eye toward the ethical questions regarding societal impacts.” This degree, with a history of over 100 years, develops leaders with the knowledge and skills to implement policies, develop projects, and manage programs within government and nonprofit organizations. This top 50 ranking can help potential MPA students on their journey to pursue their future career in public service.
