NEW YORK CITY |  Did the 23-inch snowstorm this weekend cause you a terrible inconvenience?  It did briefly mess up the performance schedule this weekend for Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo of the Broadway revival THE COLOR PURPLE.

Yet see Erivo in that featured picture? She’s back singing. Why? She’s singing in top voice to escape from the winter druthers.  Will you do the same as well?

Go see a Broadway show today. All Broadway shows are playing as scheduled, today, Sunday, January 24th.

Charlotte St. Martin, President of The Broadway League, stated, “‘The show must go on,’ especially for the large percentage of our audience who come in from out of town to see a Broadway show and we don’t want to disappoint them. As always, the safety and security of theatregoers and employees is everyone’s primary concern.”

For information about refunds and exchanges, theatergoers should contact their point-of-purchase.

The Broadway League, founded in 1930, is the national trade association for the Broadway industry. The League’s 700-plus members include theatre owners and operators, producers, presenters, and general managers who present in nearly 200 markets in North America, as well as suppliers of goods and services to the theatre industry.

Each year, League members bring Broadway to nearly 30 million people in New York and on tour across the U.S. and Canada. The Broadway League has recently added a new category for International membership to collaborate with professionals from around the world who produce and present Broadway quality theatre.
